The Challenge
Graphics Hub Signs, a company specialising in bespoke signage solutions, required a website that would effectively showcase their extensive portfolio while maintaining simplicity and performance. The client wanted a streamlined, minimalistic approach, avoiding the complexities of a content management system (CMS), as they anticipated infrequent updates. Design the Web NI was tasked with building a responsive, efficient, and visually appealing website that could adapt to various devices without sacrificing functionality.
Responsive Design with Bootstrap
A key challenge was to ensure the website remained visually consistent and user-friendly across all devices. By using the Bootstrap framework, Design the Web NI was able to create a responsive design that dynamically adjusted to different screen sizes, providing a seamless experience for desktop, tablet, and mobile users.
Custom Logo Animation & Portfolio Display
Content creation was another critical aspect of the project. The challenge was to write compelling and informative content that highlighted the unique features of each apartment, from the stunning ocean views to the luxurious amenities. The content needed to be both persuasive and SEO-friendly, driving traffic to the site while ensuring visitors had all the information they needed to make a booking.
Custom logo Animation & Promotional Video
The client’s logo, initially provided in static form, needed refinement and animation to add visual appeal to the site. The challenge was to convert the logo into a Lottie animation, ensuring it loaded smoothly without hindering site performance. Additionally, the extensive signage portfolio had to be displayed in a filterable gallery, allowing users to browse the company’s work efficiently.
Performance Optimisation
Given the large number of high-quality images involved, another challenge was optimising the website for fast load times. Images were carefully compressed and optimized to maintain quality while ensuring quick page loads, enhancing the overall user experience.
Custom Forms & Navigation
To further improve functionality, a custom contact form was built with both front-end and back-end validation, ensuring secure and reliable inquiries. Additionally, a responsive sidebar navigation system was implemented to allow for easy browsing on any device, further emphasising the mobile-friendly nature of the site.
Through these efforts, Design the Web NI delivered a site that met the client’s needs for minimal maintenance while providing a highly functional and aesthetically pleasing digital presence.
